1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the website and services provided by Cozlec Electrical ("we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our website or services.
2. Services
Cozlec Electrical provides licensed electrical services including but not limited to:
- Residential electrical work
- Commercial electrical work
- Smoke alarm supply and installation
- Lighting and fixture installations
- Switchboard upgrades
- Emergency electrical repairs
We service the greater Newcastle, Hunter Valley, and Lake Macquarie areas. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any services at any time with reasonable notice.
3. Quotes and Pricing
All quotes provided by Cozlec Electrical are estimates based on information provided at the time of enquiry. Final pricing may vary depending on the scope of work discovered on site. We will communicate any changes to pricing before proceeding with additional work.
- Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated
- A minimum call-out fee may apply for emergency or after-hours services
- All prices are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and inclusive of GST where applicable
4. Booking and Cancellations
When booking a service with Cozlec Electrical:
- We will provide a confirmed appointment time based on availability
- Please provide at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule
- Late cancellations or no-shows may incur a fee
- We reserve the right to reschedule appointments due to unforeseen circumstances and will provide as much notice as possible
5. Customer Responsibilities
As a customer of Cozlec Electrical, you agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information when requesting our services
- Ensure safe and reasonable access to the work site
- Inform us of any known hazards, existing electrical issues, or relevant site conditions
- Ensure someone aged 18 or over is present during the service where required
- Pay for services as agreed in your quote or invoice
6. Payment Terms
- Invoices are due within 7 days of issue unless otherwise agreed
- We accept payment via bank transfer, card, or cash
- Late payments may result in suspension of further services
- Outstanding amounts may be referred to a debt collection agency if unpaid after 30 days
7. Warranty & Workmanship
Cozlec Electrical stands behind the quality of our work. We provide:
- A workmanship warranty on all labour for a period of 12 months from the date of completion
- Product warranties as provided by the relevant manufacturer for any parts or materials supplied
This warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, unauthorised modifications, acts of nature, or work carried out by other parties after our service.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, Cozlec Electrical shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from our services. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the total fees paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.
9. Compliance & Licensing
All electrical work is carried out by fully licensed and insured electricians in accordance with Australian Standards and NSW electrical safety regulations. We comply with all relevant legislation including the Electricity (Consumer Safety) Act 2004 (NSW).
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
11. Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any rights or remedies you may have under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)) that cannot be excluded.
12. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on our website with an updated effective date. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
